High School Retreat -- 2016

      The high school retreat this year will be on Sept. 1-2,  2016 .  Students are to come to

school as usual on the bus. We will be leaving from North Campus at approximately 9:30 A.M.

Students must bring a bag lunch and a drink for the noon meal on Thursday.

Students may not bring their own cell phones, mp3

players, or ipods. We are staying in cabins, but students must bring sleeping bags, pillows,

and all towels and toiletries as well as a Bible and a notebook.  We will be at Laurel Mountain

Christian Camp this year.

       We will have dinner, breakfast, and lunch for the students, and they may also bring whatever snacks

they want as well as bottled water. Please bring cookies to share for dessert!!  Please also bring extra

clothes and shoes, and a flashlight.  We will have opportunities to play sports and other activities,

so be sure to wear or bring tennis shoes.  In addition, don’t forget to bring long pants and a sweatshirt

or a jacket since it can be very chilly at night in the mountains. We will have a campfire at night if weather

permits. 

     We will leave the camp and return to school before the end of the day on Friday so students

will be riding their regular buses home. There is a fee of $ 50 which will be charged to your SMART

account. This covers the cost of the rooms at the camp, use of the camp facilities, food for three meals,

transportation, and outdoor activities by the staff of the camp.

     This is a mandatory retreat for all high school students. If parents do not want their students

to stay overnight, they may pick up their students at 10:00 P.M. and return them at 8:00 A.M. the

next morning. Parents are also welcome to come for dinner with their student at 5:30. If you have any

Please sign the following permission form and send it to school with your student by Wed., Aug. 31st.
