Recipient of the 1962 Pulitzer Prize, The Edge of Sadness centers on a middle-aged priest who struggles with alcoholism and a desire to serve his calling while fending off temptations. The book was eye-opening in its day and hasn't lost any power since.
This book is a good reminder on how to avoid our temptations and how we can use prayer and staying connected to Godly people to avoid the temptation in the world. We can be in the world but not of the world.
